Description
Happy New Year! Whether you’re popping bubbly at home to ring in 2021 or drinking a detox tea to fully rid yourself of 2020’s bad energy, curl up with your drink of choice and join your favorite legal duo in a review of some of the biggest legal moments of 2020. A&A kick off their year in review with a discussion of the life and tragic passing of the Notorious RBG, and Justice Ginsburg’s replacement, Justice Amy Coney Barrett. The pair also talk about what adding the conservative Justice Barrett may mean for Supreme Court decisions moving forward. Of course, no 2020 legal podcast would be complete without a discussion of the legal battle regarding the election results, including an explanation of the tie-breaking process. The Legal A-Team also bring things closer to home, and revisit the major Dallas stories that occurred this year, including the Shelly Luther salon owner saga, and the TRO issued against the Dallas Police Department on the use of tear gas against protestors. The pair also converse about the Harvey Weinstein trial, and the landmark decision from SCOTUS that provided employment protection to the LGBTQ+ community.
