Great pieces of advice Episode 38
This episode of the podcast gave some extremely helpful advice in regards to setting yourself apart and creating the perfect mindset to thrive in whatever you do. Jillian Walker, a Central Michigan University class of 2017 graduate, really emphasizes how much the YEAA internship helped her grow and enhance various skills. She talks about all she learned from the internship and how it helped land her a job with the Detroit Tigers today. I took away three major pieces of advice from this episode. First, Walker speaks about what you put into the internship is what you get out of it, and that is what will make you successful. Then, keeping that motivation and staying consistent is key. The biggest piece of advice I took from this is to get comfortable being uncomfortable and to step outside of your comfort zone, which is exactly what the YEAA internship pushes you to do.
