Description
The Federal Reserve implemented a temporary pause on interest rate hikes in June, keeping the target rate between 5%-5.25%. Although rates will be held steady in June, the Fed’s “dot plot,” which illustrates its outlook for policy, hinted at two more rate hikes by the end of the year. Danielle DiMartino Booth, CEO & Chief Strategist at QI Research, doesn't believe that the central bank will raise rates again in 2023, pointing to alternative metrics of cooling inflation and historical trends of Fed policy peaking once a pause is decided.
