Let's start with the divine meaning of the card and then its meaning when reversed. The Hermit Upright represents introspection, inner guidance, and the pursuit of wisdom through solitude. It's a card that invites you to step back, reflect, and seek answers. However, when The Hermit appears reversed, this reflective energy can become isolating or imbalanced. It can suggest that you've withdrawn too deeply or feel disconnected from others and struggling to reintegrate. The reversed Hermit often signals that while solitude has its benefits, excessive withdrawal can lead to feelings of loneliness or a sense of being out of touch with the world around you.
