“The approach places an emphasis on grammar and syntax. However, the approach is much different than the classroom grammar approach.
The podcast dives right into more challenging Spanish syntax. This approach does cause the listener to think more deeply about Spanish and English.
The first five episodes do a basic comparison between Spanish and English. How certain constructions do not exist in Spanish and provides a way to think through how to construct the sentence in Spanish.
For those who have gone through the 30 day Accelerated Spanish course will find the material familiar. Noun/verb identification, replacing words and the Spanglish.
I do like that the method/approach helps listeners gain an understanding of Spanish syntax and provides a basic explanation of the syntax.
This approach is one way to acquire a language. As with any method, the amount of work one puts in is what will yield results.”
