I was supposed to be off this week but I couldn’t wait to bring y’all an update on Tony’s case.  On January 12th, 2023 Walker County Deputies were called to the home of 33-year-old Anthony “Tony” Mitchell for a welfare check. He was arrested and booked in the county jail. Two weeks later, on January 26th, 2023, he was taken to Baptist Hospital and later pronounced deceased. The doctor who treated him said he died from hypothermia.  After a year, the results from Tony’s autopsy have been released.
