And just like that I was hooked !
Bill, In early 2022, I randomly selected this podcast and clicked on episode 157. Although, I was stuck in the most savage traffic on the FDR Drive heading north to the TriBoro Bridge in Manhattan, the time passed with glorious speed, as I listened to one of the most entertaining “gear-head centric” interviews ever ! To future listeners …. BEWARE of Bill’s ability to tell a story. He spins a tale in the same fashion as his ancient Greek forefathers and his passion for the “people’s car” knows no limits. Heed my warning, Bill and his “Roundtable Minions” have the ability to make you “do the unthinkable”! This lifelong MOPAR aficionado actually sold off one of his fleet and purchased a former Bundeswehr (German Army) Type 181. This is my FIRST Volkswagen and I must admit, I have fallen in love with these air cooled beauties! Any chance episode 212 (Manhattan Area Code) will be dedicated to the VW Thing ? Keep up the brilliant work sir ! All the best from the Big Apple, Regards, Mícheál Ó Riagáin (Mee-haul Oh’ Reegan) Michael O’Regan
