Hunter is from Monroeville, Ohio, where the population in 2022 was 1,282. Despite the small size, Hunter did big things. He was a 4x Ohio state champion, ending his career 193-2. Hunter traveled 2 hours south and went to THE Ohio State University. While there, he became a 2x AA, finishing 3rd and 6th. Although injuries derailed his final two years of college, Hunter was still a member of the 2015 national title team, the first in Buckeye history.
