The Jobson one
Usually enjoy this Pod but dear me the nonsense spoken by Jobson was off the scale and could have done with some fact checking. His discussion of Scottish society smacks of someone who hasn’t lived here for 40 years. Some absolute whoppers like the myth of what caused Ibrox disaster, that thousands of Rangers fans burnt season tickets when Mo Johnson signed when crowds actually went up. Another cracker was “Maradona used to turn up in Scotland regularly, 20000 people would turn up at the airport!” Total nonsense. His love of the very corporate Barcelona over the very corporate Real Madrid because of the politics of a Spanish leader who died when Jobson was a teenager is textbook liberal football fan by numbers stuff. His opinion that supporters of every club in Scotland outside Celtic are closet Rangers fans is beyond ridiculous. I wish he run that claim past Aberdeen, Dundee Utd, St Mirren etc fans with that theory and see what the reaction would be. As I said most of these are a good listen but Jobson was just full of cliched nonsense and made up stuff.
