“It’s so nice to hear my fears and anxieties about going into the workforce as an SLP spoken aloud by other girls who are in such a different location than myself! I really feel more confident and capable every time I listen to this podcast. It makes me feel like maybe I’m not doing everything wrong and like I might actually have a shot at reaching my dreams.
Don’t get me wrong; I love talking to my supervisors and mentors about this field and all the experiences I’ve had. But when I hear other girls my age share their experiences, it is a completely different type of relatability. Our field is changing so much and so very quickly, and the conversation is changing with it!
Not only do these girls have an excellent skill set in speech-language treatment, they also have excellent podcast-making abilities! Thanks to them, I’ve sought out some fantastic resources that have helped me in both my placements and in my CF! Listen to them!”
