Comedian puts himself out there!
Tom Ballard bravely sticks he head out and occasionally gets it kicked! He tackles experts in their field, often comes off second best, then readily reads out the criticism he cops from listeners. I can’t imagine holding my own against a self righteous bully boy like Peter Reith! Tom does his best to educate himself prior to each meeting and raises many interesting points. He’s not afraid to speak to people who oppose his views and I thoroughly enjoy the way he gives these people time to speak their mind. He reminds me of Andrew Denton, in that he rarely makes the interview about himself and sets up an atmosphere where the subject is the feature. Perhaps due to his disarming personality and his not being an expert in many of the areas he tackles, along with the generous time given to the interview, listeners learn a great deal about the various subjects.

Tom is somehow both unfunny and arrogant. He has nothing insightful to say — wouldn’t waste your time!

Love your insightful and compassionate approach Tom thank you. Sorry, had to turn off the Joe Hildebrand discussion. Ears started bleeding....
