LKLadyPod #34 Dr. Belinda Vigors: Irish Women, As Cutting As We Are Kind
Listen now
Description
Ann and Emma chat with Dr. Belinda Vigors - she's a social scientist, and the host and curator of the Women of Ireland Project.  An Irish woman living in the UK, Belinda became acutely aware of her 'Irishness' once she moved away. She has set out through the Women of Ireland Project to connect Ireland's past to the lived experiences of modern Irish women. The project explores Ireland's culture, history and heritage, and also involves interviewing women of Ireland about how our culture has shaped them. Belinda describes that what she does is look to history to understand today and find answers for tomorrow.   Find Belinda at @womenofirelandproject on Instagram, or at her website https://womenofirelandproject.blog/ where you can also get involved in the project    Herstory Project that is mentioned in episode: https://www.herstory.ie/herstory-on-rt   Find the Limerick Lady podcast wherever you get your podcast, and follow for new episodes on the third Thursday every month   The Limerick Lady Podcast is supported by the Limerick Post Newspaper, and sponsored by the Ormston House Feminist Supermarket   Follow Ann Blake on Twitter at @annblake78 and Instagram @annblakeplay and her band The Brad Pitt Light Orchestra on twitter @BPLO.
