“So I just happened upon this podcast. Scrolling through past episodes to pick one to try, had to go with the Xanth episode because 1) I had the HUGEST crush on Will Freidle back in the day, and 2) I REALLY dislike Piers Anthony. I know I’m several years too late to contribute to the discussion, but it’s one of my purposes in life to tell people this one thing about Piers Anthony, so....
You think the Xanth rape trial is disturbing? Try the novel Firefly (which Piers Anthony smartly wrote under another name). It features a 5-yr-old girl re-enacting her own rape in court, by humping an attorney. To orgasm. After which we are apparently expected to feel bad that her rapist was killed in prison.
Mix that with Anthony’s letters with Jenny Elf, add a dash of And Eternity and its endless repetition of the phrase “young flesh,” and what you get is a steaming batch of Piers Anthony Shouldn’t Be Allowed Within 100 Yards Of Schools Stew.
TL;DR Love the ‘cast, Piers Anthony is a pedo creep.”
