i found this podcast on the recommendation of robert price of the bible geek podcast. i started binge listening to the backlog and am almost finished. it quickly became my second favorite podcast just below the history of english. aside from the great information and interpatation the thing that real makes this so good is the sense of humor that goes along with story telling. i enjoyed the episodes on the illiad and odyssey so much i saved them so i can listen to them again sometime. also he usally has an original song he wrote about the subject of the episode which is an added bonus. ps if you read this doug when you have enough of the songs to put together a cd i would happily purchase it. it would also be a great way for you to finance the show.

Fans of Mike Duncan and Dan Carlin will enjoy this podcast. Episodes are well written and paced, and the host's expertise is top-knotch. I was a reminded a little of The History of Philosophy Without any Gaps. Both hosts are obviously head-over-heels in love with their topic.Read full review »
