Learn all you wanted and have a giggle also
This long series of amazingly put together podcast is simply fantastic. Doug has an amazing voice, walking us through the beginings and ends of beginnings of literature and history. Seen from the literature side gives an insight that very few people would have the skill, let alone the gumption to put all of this together. The songs at the end are great fun and the dramatic dialog that is used to get the stories across is brilliant. I am 25 episodes in and am always looking for excusses to keep listening.

This is a great source of information on literature of (so far) ancient history. The host clearly knows his stuff and knows how to spin a story. Looking forward to the future of this podcast.

Got lucky and stumbled on this podcast. Doug does a great job of conveying what could be dry information into a seamless and entertaining podcast you don't want to end. Love the style and his enthusiasm. Must listen.Read full review »

It took me awhile to get through the first few episodes. The episodes were kind of long, and it took me awhile to get used to the podcasters style. By the time I got to Homer, I was hooked and started skipping other podcast episodes to listen to this one
