“Giving a 5 star review for Amye only. I really want to like Amanda but sometimes she spends 5 mins googling and then reading wiki pages for way too long, she always tries to plug her relationship to non-trad people in a way that’s too similar to “I have a black friend”, she doesn’t even recap eps accurately-1 example is an episode of Forbidden Love-Amanda says Lindsay calls herself a ‘creepy colonial lady’ when the actual quote was ‘a pioneer woman’. I think it’s important to be accurate about this since Lindsay was trying to be respectful and never said it was creepy. I keep coming back bc I really love Amye and want to love this podcast, but I’m like 2 more Amanda-isms from quitting.
Also the way Amanda relates so many things back to Jake and Matt…it’s gone beyond reasonable. This is your podcast girlies, no need to mention others unless they’re your guest. There’s great bones for this podcast, I just hope they flush out issues and become more confident in their notes and their opinions and leave googling and other podcasters out for the most part.”
