Description
“Lived Through That” is the companion podcast to my book where I look at influential 90s musicians and where they are today. On this podcast, we’ll delve deeper into a single pivotal moment in the lives of some of the artists I feature in the book, as well as other artists I love and admire. The stories they tell are open, honest, and inspiring. On this episode, our guest is Colin Newman. Colin formed the influential band WIRE in 1976. They released the album “Pink Flag” in 1977, which would go on to influence countless post-punk and new wave bands. WIRE is famous for never looking backwards, aways creating something new and exciting with each release.  Today, Colin tells us about how his relationship with his own catalog and music in general shifted during something which affected all of us, the Covid-19 pandemic.    Musical credits: Theme song from Jupe Jupe. Malka Spigel and Colin Newman's radio show is Swimming in Sound. Be sure to look out for my books, "Lived Through That" and "80s Redux" where ever you buy your books!
