“Listening to the music on this podcast was just as good as working on a creative writing prompt. It's something about a mixbag of tunes that can set a fire to my fingers and get the old brain shooting out ideas on the doc. Emily King's "Out of The Clouds" was a standout for me. I know I will return to Andra Day to hear her sing, "Not Today". It was so good to hear Bilal do "I Really Don't Care" that I had to stop and bask in this voice. Lalah Hathaway, Kwabs, Jose James were soft and tender muses too. I will revisit this podcast every time I need to stir up things. I could probably write prose and poetry just listening to this wonderful podcast that does what I need most. Dedicate it's time to soulful ballads.”
