Episode 29 of “Load-In Through the Back” features a conversation with drummer Andrew Stravers of the band Katastro.  Stravs joins us following an emotional weekend of headlining shows at the Marquee Theater in Tempe, Arizona.  Following a 2022 studio session, the band’s lead singer and co-founder Andy Chaves tragically passed away in a car accident. Since then, the remaining members have forged ahead to complete their last studio album: “Until the End of Time.” The LP features Chaves’ lead vocals on every track, as well as guest vocalists Rome Ramirez, Jared Watson and Duddy B of the Dirty Heads, and John O'Callaghan of the Maine.  The band and their producers spent countless hours compiling demo recordings and unused studio takes of Chaves to complete the album over the past two years, and recently performed a string of shows to celebrate the project's release.
