“Josh, you’re a five-star host. The drops are utterly unnecessary…but it’s your show, not mine…by all means, do your thing. Either way, I’d never be able to see this as more than a two-star production. It’s simple math; when listening to this channel, two-fifths of my time is rewarded with decent entertainment…and the other three-fifths is wasted listening to endless marketing (the rare combo of in-house AND shameless 3rd-party shilling).
We’re all resigned to a world that includes advertising on the margins. Fine. Whatever. But to let it get to the point that it absolutely DESTROYS the product itself…it just doesn’t seem very bright. Having every four minutes of analysis interrupted by yet ANOTHER promo totally waters-down the flow. There has to be a better alternative; well, that is if you give any semblance of a you-know-what about the ‘consumer experience.’”
