In an "unprecedented and highly unique case." according to Emily Kaplan's (ESPN) sources, the Golden Knights will pay goalie Robin Lehner his remaining $4.5-million and the salary will not go against the team's salary cap. The NHL, NHLPA and the Golden Knights resolved the issue this week. One report said VGK could accrue salary cap for each day they are compliant.
