With both teams entering Thursday's meeting with plenty of confidence, Dallas winning 11 of their last 13 games and Atlanta 6 of 7, one thing would remain clear for Atlanta's game plan versus the Mavericks... contain Luka Docic, especially after January's matchup where Luka poured in 73 points in ATL. However is the combination of Docic and his backcourt running mate Kyrie Irving that would eventually put a stamp on the season series. The bright spot however for the Atlanta Hawks would be...

In yet another game for the ages and against all odds, the Atlanta Hawks dethroned the team with the best record in the NBA, the Boston Celtics, this time in overtime led by Dejounte Murray's career-high 44 points. Battling back and forth for the duration of the game, Atlanta out-rebounded & outscored Boston in the paint despite a size disadvantage and minimized its turnovers. The Hawks' bench gave a significant boost led by Dylan Windler (11 points) and Garrison Mathews (21 points). Atlanta Hawks forward Clint Capela tallied his 10th double-double in the current calendar month (most in the eastern conference) but most impressively, 4 steals. In perhaps the most well-balanced game on both sides of the ball that we've seen all season long, oozing with offensive firepower and confidence, the Atlanta Hawks appeared to have taken previous meeting results personal by making a statement and example out of its recent thorn in the side, divisional rival, Charlotte Hornets, 132-91. Guard Dejounte Murray led all scorers with 28 points, 12 assists, 7 rebounds and 5 steals while managing to convert on 7 long distance attempts... but not to...

In arguably the toughest game of the west coast road trip, the Atlanta Hawks were more than competitive... in fact, we saw a level of fight, confidence, fearlessness and counterpunches, ultimately resulting in a 128-115 score-blinding loss to arguably the best starting five and talent-loaded rosters in the NBA. One would be very hard-pressed to find anyone that believes Atlanta should hang their heads after a within reach, yet disappointing loss. Standing out perhaps may just very well be...

Injury-plagued on the rear end of a back to back with injuries versus inarguably the best basketball player of this generation, LeBron James, the task was a bit to tall on the road versus the Los Angeles Lakers for the visiting Atlanta Hawks whom had just literally poured in all their efforts (and then some) a night prior versus a talent-heavy Los Angeles Clippers club. To add fuel to the fire after just recently returning to action, Forward Jalen Johnson endures yet another injury while...

On St. Patrick's Day evening in Hollywood, the visiting Atlanta Hawks had perhaps its most impressive showing of an NBA game this season with a dominant performance versus the LA Clippers, 110-93. In a game where Deandre Hunter outscored the entire Clippers bench by himself, the backcourt also took pride in limiting one of the best scorers this game has ever seen, James Harden (9 points).
