It’s rough
This show has the worst ad to content ratio out of any other podcast I listen to… and I listen to a lot of podcasts. There’s not a ton of competition in the Jazz podcast space, so if you’re starving for more commentary, you can find some nuggets in here. Locke almost punishes long time listeners with the same intro and outro every single episode. Yes, I know I’m listening to a podcast. Yes, you have a network. Yes, this podcast can be found wherever I listen to podcasts. The last thing is the audio quality. It’s pretty horrific. I get that he’s not technically adept, but after doing this so many years, you’d think this would improve. The random videos that he accidentally starts watching during recordings that blasts your ears grate, too. I dropped off for years, but with the Jazz being interesting this year, I slog through each episode. YMMV.

Love the way that Locke breaks down the information for us common people. His knowledge of the game is why I listen to him. Great listen every day.

Some people do t like his opinions, but he's a passionate and well-referenced voice that the team has never really had....Read full review »
