“I have to be honest here: I’ve been listening to Locked-On Wolves for the whole 2018-19 season. At first it was nice. Getting updates, information, and some game analysis on a frequent basis. However, as I continued to listen I began to realize just how below average this podcast is at the moment. Don’t get me wrong, I do appreciate the work that Colton probably puts into this. That being said, I’m not sure it’s the same level that many other Locked-On podcasts have.
Colton frequently spends 10-20 minutes each episode praising KAT for his play. Though KAT deserves some of this, to do it every episode just gets boring. Can we throw that out and talk about this team, this organization and how it can improve? Also, I fear that Colton, though a big fan of the Wolves and of basketball, doesn’t know the depth of the game. Some deeper, more invigorating analysis of this team and the games would provide a fresh spin on this pod.
Lastly, the hype over a late March matchup between the Wolves and the Grizzlies was just way too much. Jonas Valanciunas/Joakim Noah vs KAT is not that exciting of a matchup. I’m sorry. I’m not being a hater, I’m being realistic. Let’s talk about why a less talented team (Clippers) make the playoffs over a more talented team (Timberwolves). I get the whole injuries thing, alright? But it goes beyond that.
I hope Colton sees this and realizes that I’m not trying to crucify him for this pod. Not at all. I hope sees this and is motivated to take some of it to heart. I wouldn’t be writing if I thought I was the only one who felt this way.
Go Wolves. (PS-Like many others have said, maybe invest in a new microphone :))”
