New Zip Codes: Church & AP
Listen now
Description
It’s been a whirlwind year for Church & AP, who just wrapped up their first international show in London after riding the success of their chest-thumping single ‘Ready Or Not’. The Central Auckland teens – Elijah Manu and Albert Purcell – were both handpicked by David Dallas to take part in the acclaimed 64 Bars series and next up the duo plan on finishing off their debut album before embarking on a five-date tour around New Zealand with Red Bull. We spoke to them about their humble beginnings at community centres, the importance of taking it to the stage, and the complex science of streaming hacks. “Shows that are 100, 200 people, just those really small rooms, that's where we've had our best experiences,” says Church, “because people come out of that being like ‘that was something to remember.’”
