“This show really encourages me, and I love listening to it at the gym. I might laugh every once in a while, which seems to confuse the people on the machines next to me, but unlike a comedy podcast, I'm not laughing so much that it makes sprints/high intensity sessions difficult. I think his positive, no-nonsense message of self-accountability also adds to the high of a particularly sweaty workout, and he has lots of content to help pass the time on lower-intensity, longer workouts. And I'm more about moderation than competition - meaning my workouts are for my mental/physical health, not to beat anyone or reach the next level, though that may happen - and I appreciate his moderate, realistic approach. He's about not lying to yourself, but not beating yourself up, either.”
