“I studied writing and English is college and had always kind of avoided reading Lolita because, as a fellow sexual assault survivor, I thought it might be too upsetting for me. When I heard Jamie had a new podcast I was really excited because I’m a big fan of her in general. And to hear that this podcast would be kind of a deep dive into the way we as a culture have misconstrued the narrative of Lolita sounded pretty interesting to me.
