Poignant, honest, and smart
Jamie Loftus is a super talented person and I was blown away by this first episode. She handles the heavy subject matter with sensitivity and empathy, with just enough humor to balance things out. Spoilers ahead(?) But at the end she plays voice clips of 13 and 14 year old girls to drive home the point of how Dolores is truly a young child and the victim of a horrible crime. It chilled me to think how often our culture forgets that underage girls are the children we hear in the audio clips. Again, a very well done and fascinating podcast; definitely worth your time.

Jamie Loftus is exactly the right person to take on a topic like this. In her voice I can hear the deep passion she has for the subject. After hearing the first episode I am thrilled to continue listening to future episodes.
