Can’t Miss
Just the first episode has me interrogating my own relationship with the aesthetics of Lolita and how they’ve impacted my self-perception and my romantic history. I tried reading Lolita years ago, but this podcast got me to finally do it. I’m so interested to see what the next 9 episodes have in store. It’s clear Jamie has done a tremendous amount of research and she has a fantastic track record for impactful socio-cultural commentary.

Two episodes in and I’m totally floored by Jamie’s narrative ability and thoughtful critique of Lolita (both the text of the book and its questionable cultural penumbra).

For a topic that's not spoken about enough and often confused or shamed by, Jamie is eloquent in displaying all side whiles keeping sharp focus of the subject at hand.Read full review »

The first episode is incredibly insightful and I can’t wait for more! If you’re like me and have always avoided Lolita content, this is the perfect place to start.
