“So, as a Latina, I was super excited for this podcast. Until they made fun of Latinx people who don’t know Spanish.
The sheer audacity of that mindset is boggling in 2021. Many Latinx 2nd and 3rd gen kids have cultural diaspora, with a lot of these ideas centered around language. I, for one, am one of those people, and I don’t consider myself “less than” like this podcast would like me to.
I sincerely hope this was just a poorly conceived joke that didn’t translate well in a teaser commercial.”
