Case 1: Florida Man Stabs Intruder to Death After Wife is Shot in the Face On May 16, 2024, a 69-year-old Florida man acted in self-defense, fatally stabbing an intruder who shot his wife in their Avon Park home. The intruder, 62-year-old Lindsey Glenn, tricked the couple into letting him inside before pulling out a gun and shooting the wife in the face. Case 2: Florida Man Escapes Mental Health Facility, Shot by Police On August 23, 2024, a 23-year-old man suffering from a mental health episode was critically wounded by Ocala police after running away from a mental health clinic. Armed with bear spray and a knife, the man was located by police shortly after fleeing the clinic. Ky expresses concern over the ultimate decision of the police. This case sheds light on the complexities of managing mental health crises, especially when the person becomes a threat to themselves and others.
