Clive Langer is an English songwriter and producer, formerly of the cult band Deaf School, and half of the legendary UK production duo Langer/Winstanley, who over the past 4 decades produced iconic albums and hit singles for artists like Madness, Morrisey, Elvis Costello, Dexy's Midnight Runners, and Bush (to name only a few). Clive and Jaymee discuss the craft of music production, the origins of the “second wave” of Ska in England, the art of creative partnership, what it was like living in Morrisey’s private world for 18 months creating Kill Uncle and Bona Drag, collaborating with David Bowie, and the time in 1973 Jaymee's mother Victoria flew to England to play Clive the new Beach Boys LP Surf's Up for the first time.
