From Red Bull's surprising decision to part ways with De Vries, to an Alpine reject's triumphant debut in the Indycar series, and the adoration of fans witnessing Valentino Rossi's GT World Challenge victory, plus we reveal the driver who crashed the priceless 1998 Le Mans winning Porsche GT1 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. In an unexpected twist, Red Bull Racing, who own Scuderia AlphaTauri, have decided to part ways with their talented driver Nyck De Vries and replace him with stand-in driver and the fans favourite, Daniel Ricciardo. As one of the rising stars in Formula 1, De Vries had shown immense promise, but Red Bull are known for their no nonsense attitude. Would you have instated Ricciardo, or gone with Liam Lawson? In a fairytale story, an Alpine reject found redemption and success in the Indycar series. After being dropped from the Alpine F1 team, Christian Lundgaard secured a seat in the fiercely competitive Indycar championship with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, and rewarded them with a spectacular victory. The legendary Valentino Rossi, hailed as the "Doctor" of MotoGP, etched his name in the annals of motorsport history once again. Competing in the GT World Challenge event at Misano, Rossi had the full support of his adoring fans. In a thrilling race the iconic rider secured a remarkable victory, much to the delight of his cheering Misano fans. The emotional scenes that followed the race exemplified the bond between Rossi and his passionate fanbase, a testament to his unrivalled status as a motorsport icon. The Imola World Superbikes event turned into a battle of giants as Razgatliogu and Bautista once again. The rivalry between the two riders intensified as they vied for supremacy on the legendary track. With hair-raising overtakes, breathtaking cornering, and a heart-stopping finish, the race showcased the very essence of World Superbikes. Fans were left in awe, appreciating the incredible skills of these two titans and eagerly anticipating the next chapter in their thrilling rivalry. Formula E races are sometimes known for lots of lifting and coasting, then an intense last few laps, and the Rome E-Prix was no exception. Amid chaotic scenes and carnage on the track after a multi car pileup, Jake Dennis displayed remarkable composure and skill to claim victory. The British motorsport festival at Goodwood witnessed some unexpected twists as rain played a significant role in the NASCAR races, with the Goodwood Festival of Speed begin cancelled on Saturday and NASCAR being cancelled on Sunday. It’s at FOS we reveal who the mystery driver of the 1998 Le Mans winning Porsche GT1 was. Which sadly was our very own Paul Woodman of Lovecars!
