Ep. 67: Slut Praise | PART 2
Description
"Since when is being a SLUT a crime in this family!?"... Thats right, we're throwing down some serious slut praise, sex positivity and free love autonomy in this episode. It's evident our Owens Aunts are very sex positive and we wanted to explore this construct and its (her)story.
As we gear up for Valentines day we encourage you to commune with your inner slut and spread a little sex positivity. Continuing from last week, join us for PART 2, as we explore the connections between Witches, Sluts and Feminism. We will take a look at how both terms "Witch" and "Slut" have been used as a tool to punish women and regulate female sexuality from the Medieval period all the way up to our very own modern times. We'll also challenge the double standard: Slut Shaming vs. Player Praising and the sexual inequalities that still plague society to this day. Tune in for all this and more!
Stay Tuned next Friday for Part 3, the conclusion to this 3 part series. We'll be talking about Slut shaming throughout pop culture.
