YOUR MOVE
Most board members, CEOs and businesses owners don’t understand the nuances of influence. They try to “strike deals” or assert hierarchical power. But the future belongs to the fast-thinkers, and to the people who know that influence is about accountability, innovation and leverage.
“Influence” is the power to shape policy or ensure favorable treatment from someone. Influence is reciprocal, the proverbial “win/win.”
