Episode 21 features Kat- Born in Ecuador, raised in Canada and currently living in Japan, Kat seems to have been born with an obsession for travel. Her earliest travel memories were trips back to her home country, Ecuador, to visit her family. Having always dreamed of travelling the world, she was just waiting for the day she was old enough to pack her bags and venture off. After graduating with a degree in Human Resources, she decided there had to be more to life than squeezing in trips in 2-week intervals every year. She discovered that the secret is.... Move where you want a travel - make your life a vacation!Her first HR job was in Jasper, Canada, the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Building a home there for nearly three years, Jasper was the place she fell in love with nature and hiking; now both big parts of her everyday lifestyle! Her next stop was taking things international - moving to Japan! Pivoting out of HR and into the world of teaching English, she is now working in the JET Programme based in Nagano, Japan. Once again, picking a home in close proximity to some of the most beautiful mountains on earth, the Japanese Alps!  Traveling is more than just a hobby to her, it's what reawakened her lust for life after suffering the personal tragedy of her boyfriend dying by suicide at the age of 19. Travel is what helped her heal and open up to the beauty the world has to offer. She likes to think he gets to travel the world with her! Tune in today!
