Description
Richie Viruet is a New York-born trumpet player of Puerto Rican decent whose 38-year career in Latin Music has taken him around the world!  Over the years Richie has toured globally with salsa bands like Larry Harlow's Latin Legends of Jazz, The Mambo Legends Orchestra, "El Rumbero del Piano" Eddie Palmieri , Tito Nieves, Celia Cruz , La India and the Spanish Harlem Orchestra just to name a few!  Richie was also in the Movie "El Cantante" a 2006 biographical film which stars singers Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez. The film is based on the life of the late salsa singer Héctor Lavoe, who is portrayed by Anthony. It debuted at Toronto International Film Festival on September 12, 2006, El Cantante was released on August 3, 2007. In October of 2022, Richie launched his very first solo album Titled "Richie Vee Clave Con Blue" working with bass player and arranger, Mauricio Rodriguez as well as others on the album!
