Good quality podcasting, but missing the intrigue of a fresh case.
Paige St. John has a great narrative and voice for the podcast. The storytelling is top notch, sounds like an audiobook in the way it gets you hooked but includes some intriguing anecdotes from witnesses. However, it’s a little tiring to see yet another podcast about the Golden State Killer. It seems this case has exploded since the suspect was apprehended, and it just seems a bit trite at this point with the dozens of other podcasts out there that have already done it a year or more ago - HLN’s Unmasking a Killer, I’ll Be Gone in the Dark the Podcast, an entire season of Criminology and various episodes from Crime Junkie, Jensen & Holes, Casefile’s 5-part series, you get the idea. I love the narration and style, but I was hoping for a breath of fresh air as far as the examined case goes; this one just feels a bit stale.

This podcast would be so much better if the host wasn’t an animated robot. I don’t know if it’s intentional or it’s a real person, but to me it’s ruining the podcast. Other than that great information on the GSK. I will continue to listen, and hopefully I can get over the host.
