“The reporting and writing by Ms. St. John are indeed Pulitzer Prize level journalism. The first few episodes are difficult to hear; they depict the ignorance of our 70’s culture towards rape, the deep flaws of chauvinism and egotism of the police, and especially the stratification of our society towards crime and the political motivations of Sherrif’s running for office.
But stick this thing out. You will learn much more than you ever expected.
This podcast is exceptional because it reveals the nature of how far we as society have progressed, but more importantly, what still needs to be fixed.
