If you want to listen to justifications of a dysfunctional relationship...
Then this is the podcast for you. I came into this with an open mind, but almost immediately it is very apparent that these two have used the Bible to justify their complete lack of compatibility, respect or compassion for one another. The husband Aaron is constantly putting the wife Jennifer down for her evil behavior (and she whole-heartedly will agree) and *sometimes* he’ll say he was wrong too. It’s really painful to listen to, God-fearing or not. Even in their “playful” moments (their episode about games you shouldn’t play) they still come off as really unhealthy. They admit to preaching about marriage when they were in a bad place, this podcast just seems like the 2.0 version of that. Still unhealthy, still using ministry as a way to hide that. It’s wildly unaware and I just feel sorry for them. I hope you both can genuinely use the word to find respect and love for each other because you don’t seem to see divorce as an option and because lots of children are involved. There are definitely gentler podcasts out there that are religious based and don’t raise up two people who are profoundly negative towards one another. Their advice is dark.

I really enjoy this podcast!! I make my husband listen as well and we really benefit from it! They are very grounded and sound in their biblical reference, and I really enjoy that!

I listen to your podcast about being married to an unbelieving spouse and it was a life changer. I often feel judged by Christians because I married my husband knowing he wasn’t Christian. I do have a suggestion for the podcast! I would love to have a follow along notes page (similar to what...Read full review »
