Focus More on Relationships, Less on Politics
In past seasons, I’ve been so impressed and excited by the marital and relationship wisdom conveyed during the seasons, and by the thought with which Shaunti and Brian explore these topics. In season four, I’ve been disappointed by the degree to which “left” and “right” rhetoric factors into the discussions. Using this kind of politically charged rhetoric is alienating to listeners who don’t necessarily subscribe to a political “club,” and commits the religious fallacy of aligning our infinitive and eternal God with a temporal political perspective. Please, for those of us who actually want to learn about marriage, stick to the facts, the research, and the insights, and less of the charged partisan language. The efficacy of Brad’s message, especially, was significantly finished by the exclusive nature of his language.

Love, Love, Love! I hope there is going to be more! I am so happy I am learning all this information in my first couple years of marriage. I read the “For Girls Only” book when I was in high school so this is an awesome reminder to listen to during marriage.
