“I adore this podcast, and I actually started listening to expand my knowledge on the marvel comics universe. The way the characters backstories are explained and the in depth research of the characters is phenomenal and makes me keep listening.
However,
Sometimes it’s really difficult to listen to. I get very frustrated at Josef in a lot of the episodes. NOT because he doesn’t enjoy certain characters, in fact I enjoy that he doesn’t always love them, but because of the way he approaches it. I feel like sometimes he is excited to find the negativity in the podcast and nitpick to the point of exhaustion. While nitpicking is important to create or challenge good character development, when he does it as a sort of “Gotcha” to Jonathan, it becomes exhausting and takes all the fun out of learning about the characters. He also interrupts Jonathan A LOT which is frustrating because I want to hear what Jonathan has to say. All in all these characters are crazy and wild for FUNS SAKE. Don’t take the fun out of it for us.
That being said, I have noticed Josef getting (kind of) better as the show progresses, and very rarely does he make it completely un-listenable. In fact he often contributes in funny puns or valid perspectives.
I would say 10/10 LISTEN TO THIS PODCAST, but just be warned about what you might find!”

“I love this podcast. I’ve only read a couple of comics, mainly the big characters - Xmen, Avengers etc.
Picked it up a couple of months back and I’ve binged about 50 episodes. Definitely made me look at purchasing a lesser known comic
