It's the first of Fox's nu-X-Men movies in a saga that will end in Dark Phoenix (or New Mutants, however the f**k this canon goes). Basically we watched Star Trek again because this is also a prequel overstuffed with fanservice and weird shit about women. Made to be watched on FX with commercial breaks or by teenage girls projecting yaoi fanfic onto young Professor X and Magneto.
