How we got here
In 1980, I wrote about the case in which the Supreme Court decided that corporations were people with political rights, independent of their owners or managers, under the First Amendment. I have followed the issue ever since. This podcast series is the best non-technical accounting I have seen that connects the dots and brings new documentary evidence to bear on how we got to the place where unlimited quantities of corporate and billionaire money flow through our political system resulting in systemic and institutionalized corruption of our democracy.
