A beautifully crafted podcast
Grant Gibson, former editor of Crafts Magazine in the UK has produced a beautifully crafted podcast exploring the materiality of making. Each show introduces a carefully selected guest who, through gentle conversation and teasing out by the presenter, spins out their experience of working in a specific medium. If you ever consider the objects that surround us, the things we love and the tactile things we use, this is for you. Threads are pulled together as the show develops, exploring fascinating ideas along the way, throwing in interesting career choices, casting and then breaking the mould of the life of craftspeople. I would strongly recommend subscribing, to gain a real insight into why makers, designers and artists use the materials they do.

Gibson unfurls the vast possibilities our future holds if we’re able to work together as material scientists, designers and sustainability professionals to create a more circular economy of stuff
