This is awesome and sad at enormity of what we have lost.
So I’ve only just listened to the 1st episode ... the origin story. You’re both great hosts and thank you for this content. I can’t wait to listen to the rest of the episodes! I was a bit sad though about the fact that our clans are based on our Dad’s ancestry. I always felt after having read Ngugi wa Thiong’os autobiography, that our culture should have followed matrilineal lines. If that makes any sense. Maybe because I come from a family of all girls. We were raised under my dads clan/family but my mothers clan is Aithaga. One of my younger sisters actually doesn’t even know about the supposed witching powers and we don’t want to tell her. But she has a super high affinity for nature and animals. My mom can sense the weather and can foretell. She says it usually feels like dejavu though. Idk maybe in the spirit of being fair we should all identify with both sides?

Thank you for launching this podcast. I have not felt connected to my culture for a very long time. I am grateful though that I can speak the language. Keep it up.

Waiting with bated breath. This reminds me of the Picha Hadithi comics I read as a kid. Welcome back.

What a great podcast!! To teach our list culture is a wonderful thing. I pray more peoples and tribes do this too so that we can all enjoy the glory of all our tribal cultures here in Kenya and Africa . Our heritage should be our deepest joy and pride
