Good overall, but…
I listen to this periodically, and while there is a lot of good content, most of it is geared toward younger kids. Not a lot for teens who may be disinterested, have made no profession of faith, or have other struggles. However, the most off-putting part of this podcast is Brett’s “jokes.” Sometimes these jokes are at expense of his wife, who handles them very graciously. He also makes jokes about, say, how superior he is or how smart he is. In the one I’m listening to now, after his wife admitted to being bad at memorization, he joked about quizzing her on her memory of the books of the Bible and then there was a discussion about how he always won the sword drills when he was a kid. I really thought he was about to put his wife on the spot and embarrass her. Don’t get me wrong—I don’t mind this kind of banter occasionally, but it’s constant. It’s starting to seem like he’s joking/not joking.

My kids go to public school and my youngest one has asked me crazy questions about people in his class...Read full review »
