The most amazing snowball effect!
I tried out Katy’s Toy Clutter Cure after seeing it in a Facebook ad, and then found her podcast. As a mom of 3 young kids, (including one who is autistic + sensory seeking and loves to dump things out), all of the information and encouragement from Katy is changing my life. I have finally given myself permission to let go of everything that no longer serves our family, and to go after a life that’s actually in line with my vision for us rather than always feeling scrambling and defeated. Getting rid of excess literally makes this possible, as well as the wonderful terminology Katy uses. I have now shaped my living space in a way that I know exactly what the “expected mess” will be, and my heart doesn’t start racing anymore when my son dumps out a basket (because.. it’s the only basket and there’s one type of toy in it.) I also have gotten a few spaces to the point of being able to “reset” them, and I know that it will only take minutes to do that, and it’s something I can maintain. I feel motivated and energized and actually confident for the first time since becoming a mom 6 years ago. I’m calm, my kids are much calmer than they were before, and they’re playing deeply with their toys. Thank you, Katy!!!
