Stories are decent, but voice acting falls flat
I love a good, scary podcast, and really wanted to like this one. I’m not quite sure what it is, the actors performances have awkward affectations, the pacing and the atmosphere doesn’t make me feel a sense of dread. There’s one where they’re running from creepy things in the sewers, and their voices literally sound nonchalant. It doesn’t really build tension, often the sound effects are overly loud or a little awkward. Some have been better than others. The one about the girl on the bus created some decent tension. I listened to the whole first season and started the second, but I think I’m probably going to stop following. Old Gods of Appalachia, The Magnus Archives, and Nocturnal Transmissions this is not.

First episode was good. It went downhill fast after that.
