Description
Host: Darryl S. Chutka, M.D. [@chutkaMD] Guest: Richa Sood, M.D., M.S. Concerns and problems related to sexual health in women are common and can be very distressing. They can occur at any stage of life and can lead to issues with self-image and potential problems in establishing and maintaining relationships with a partner. To complicate things, this problem is often not mentioned by the patient when they are seen by their health care provider. The issues are often complex and can involve physiology, emotions, lifestyle as well as several other factors. In this podcast, we’ll discuss female sexual concerns and dysfunction. What are common sexual problems patients experience? How do we evaluate the patient’s concerns? How are the problems managed and most importantly, how do we encourage our patients to let us know when they are having problems related to their sexual health. My guest is Richa Sood, M.D., M.S., an internist and specialist in women’s health at the Mayo Clinic.
